Garth Brooks' "Unanswered Prayers" Providing Basis For New Movie

One of Garth Brooks' hits is becoming a movie. Lifetime Television is adapting the country superstar's 1991 chart-topper "Unanswered Prayers" into a small screen feature about love, family, and second chances. Brooks is serving as one of the film's executive producers, and Lifetime's Tanya Lopez says she's pleased to be working with him on the project. She calls Brooks "one of the greatest American storytellers ever," and notes, quote, "There's a reason Garth is one of the top selling recording artists of all-time -- among the likes of The Beatles and Elvis Presley -- and the huge popularity of 'Unanswered Prayers' is proof his work touches so many people." "Without A Trace" star Eric Close is on board for the project, which also features actresses Mädchen Amick and Samantha Mathis. "Unanswered Prayers" will have its premiere on Lifetime in November.
