Deputy Shoots Mirror While In Town For Firearms Training

A law enforcement official in Idaho picked an ironic time to accidentally fire his weapon. KLEWTV.com is reporting that a Bonner County deputy was staying at the Inn America in Lewiston on Monday when he mistakenly shot the mirror in his room. The deputy -- who was in town for weapons training -- was reportedly practicing firearms drills in his room when he forgot to make sure the gun was unloaded. The bullet wound up lodging into the wall of an adjacent room. Fortunately, the guest in the other room was in the shower and didn't even realize their room had come under fire. Following an investigation, it was determined that the deputy will not be charged with reckless discharge of a firearm.
