Soccer Moms Fight At Awards Ceremony

A mother in Australia has been convicted of assault after throwing fists at her daughter's soccer awards ceremony. The "Illawarra Mercury" is reporting that Vickie Jovanovski and Angela Tasevski began fighting over who was to blame for their daughters' loss in the final game. The women reportedly started shoving each other and pulling one another's hair. Their husbands tried to break the women up, but wound up throwing punches themselves. While convicted of assault, Jovanovski will not serve jail time. Judge Ian Guy remarks, quote, "It ruined the day for all concerned, I'm sure."
