Fast Acting Fast Food Worker Derails Robbery

(Portland, ME) -- It was the fast action and quick thinking of a Maine fast-food worker that ended a possible robbery spree. Police say a man entered a McDonald's restaurant early last Thursday morning and tried to rob it, but a clerk threw hot coffee at him and he ran out. Police arrested 25-year-old Paul Schlosser of Standish minutes later. Police believe it was a busy night for Schlosser, as he's suspected in several other hold-ups and thefts overnight. Schlosser is suspected of robbing a Circle K store, of trying to take an ambulance from Maine Medical Center, stealing a car elsewhere, and robbing a Cumberland Farms Store at knifepoint.
