"Price Is Right" Model Sues Show

A "Price Is Right" model says the time is right to file a lawsuit against the long running CBS game show. Shane Stirling says the cards were stacked against her after she was "forced into an early pregnancy leave" upon announcing her pregnancy in 2006. According to TMZ.com, in a lawsuit filed Friday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Stirling says former "Price Is Right" host Bob Barker had a significant role in her termination. She says Barker insisted that she leave the show because it was, quote, "dangerous" and a "liability," and that he advised her to, quote, "go home and take care of your baby." Stirling says she was not allowed to return to work until 2008, "almost a year after her child's birth," and after Barker had left the show. She says she was fired shortly after her return and after she was told that the show was "going in a another direction." Stirling claims she would have had a better chance to build relationships with the "Price Is Right's" new staff and retain her job had she been allowed to return to work sooner after having her baby. She's suing for more than 25-thousand-dollars. Stirling is the second "Price Is Right" model to come forward with a pregnancy-related lawsuit against the show in recent weeks. Brandi Cochran recently filed legal action, claiming the mistreatment she received from show staffers when she became pregnant caused her to miscarry.
