HBO's "Entourage" Ending Next Summer

One of HBO's most popular series will be coming to an end in 2011. According to "The Hollywood Reporter," "Entourage" will air its final season next summer. HBO programming president Michael Lombardo says the final installment could be as short as six episodes, adding that creator Doug Ellin would like to make "Entourage" into a movie. Lombardo remarks, quote, "he wants to write a film, but wants to do it when the story will make sense. He's pitched other shows to us. I will expect that within the next couple years [he'll have another show on HBO]. But 'Entourage' next summer will definitely be the final season."

HBO executives also revealed that "Curb Your Enthusiasm" will continue so long as creator Larry David wants to keep making new episodes. The next season of "Curb" is expected to debut next year. The seventh season of "Entourage" is currently airing on HBO. New episodes air Sundays at 10:30 p.m. Eastern.
