Tiger Woods, Elin Nordegren Officially Divorce
Golf superstar Tiger Woods and former wife Elin [[ EE-lin ]] Nordegren are officially divorced. The couple was in a Panama City, Florida, court Monday to finalize the divorce. In a joint statement, they said they were sad the marriage was over, and wished each other the "very best." They will share parenting of their two children. The statement said the upcoming weeks and months would not be easy for the children.
Terms of the divorce were not released, but according to People.com, previous reports stated Nordegren could receive 100-million to 500-million dollars in the split. The separation comes after Woods crashed his SUV during Thanksgiving weekend of last year. About that time, reports surfaced of Woods' marital infidelity. Sources close to Nordegren told the website she might move back to her native Sweden in a matter of months.
Report: Judge To Issue Order In Lohan Case Today
Lindsay Lohan could be receiving some good legal news today. TMZ.com reports that Judge Elden Fox will issue an order in the troubled actress' case sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Pacific time. Lohan's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, was in court on Monday. Details of the meeting have not been reported. Lindsay Lohan is currently serving a 90-day rehab sentence at the UCLA Medical Center. It was reported last week that officials at UCLA believe the "Mean Girls" star should be released prior to the completion of her sentence. TMZ quotes insiders who believe Lohan will be released sometime this week and sent to outpatient care.
Lohan's rehab sentence is the result of a probation violation stemming from a 2007 DUI case. She served two weeks of a 90-day jail sentence prior to heading to rehab earlier this month.
Report: Comedian Martin Short's Wife Passes Away
Nancy Dolman, the wife of comedian Martin Short, has reportedly passed away. According to RadarOnline.com, a rep for Short confirmed Dolman's death on Saturday at the couple's Pacific Palisades home. The Los Angeles City Fire Department reported to the scene that evening following an emergency medical call, but did not transport anyone to the hospital. The cause of death is not currently known.
Short and Dolman met in 1972 and later married in 1980. Dolman started her career as an actress in Canada, eventually winning roles on "Second City Television" and the American series "Soap." She gave up show business in 1985 to care for the couple's children, Katherine Elizabeth, Oliver Patrick, and Henry Hayter.
Sandra Bullock, Tom Hanks May Star In Film Together
Oscar winner Sandra Bullock is getting back to work after a year of personal ups and downs. According to Variety.com, Bullock is in talks to co-star with Tom Hanks in a movie titled "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close." The film is based on Jonathan Safran Foer's 2005 novel of the same name about a nine-year-old boy who lost his father in the September 11th tragedy. This would mark Bullock's first film role since she won the Best Actress Academy Award for her performance in "The Blind Side" earlier this year. Shortly after winning her Oscar, Bullock's marriage to custom motorcycle builder Jesse James fell apart amidst allegations of extramarital affairs. Bullock announced shortly after that she had adopted a baby boy and would proceed with the adoption as a single parent.
Date Set For Aniston's "Cougar Town" Guest Spot
Jennifer Aniston is returning to the medium that made her a star. Deadline.com reports that ABC has announced that Aniston will appear on the network's "Cougar Town" on September 22nd. The guest spot will reteam Aniston and her "Friends" co-star-turned-buddy in real life, Courteney Cox-Arquette. Cox-Arquette stars on the series as a divorced mother living in Florida.
The confirmation of a TV gig follows a difficult few days for Jennifer Aniston. Last week, she awkwardly referred to herself as a, quote, "retard" in a segment on "Live! With Regis and Kelly." Her latest film, "The Switch," also bombed at the box office, earning just a little over eight-million-dollars in its heavily-hyped opening weekend.

"Losties" rejoice. Every minute of the international TV sensation "Lost" is now available in one set for collectors. "Lost: The Complete Collection" arrives on DVD and Blu-Ray today. The collection arrives on the same day that the series' final season "Lost: The Complete Sixth And Final Season" hits the market. For six seasons, ending last May, avid fans of the sci-fi, supernatural drama followed the journey of the survivors of the ill-fated Oceanic Flight 815 in their attempts to get off a mysterious island and find their way back home. Following its 2004 debut, the critically acclaimed series became a pop culture phenomenon, inspiring games, commercials and even the title of the upcoming new album by rock band Weezer -- "Hurley" -- named for one of the characters in "Lost."
The ABC series wrapped on May 23rd, 2010, answering some questions while provoking others. "Lost" received 12 Primetime Emmy nominations this year, including one for Outstanding Drama Series. Awards in Emmy's major categories will be presented at the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards next Sunday, August 29th.
