Jimmy Wayne Explains Foot Injury

Now that he's finished his 17-hundred mile "Meet Me Halfway" walk, Jimmy Wayne can now address his broken foot. The singer suffered the injury six days before he completed his seven-month trek from Nashville to Phoenix, and he admits that at one point he was in so much pain he wasn't sure he was going to finish. Wayne says he broke the bone between his heel and his ankle, and despite the pain he still walked 47 miles on the injured foot. He adds that his journey wasn't supposed to be easy. The country star explains that he set out from Nashville on January 1st with the intention of walking in the harsh winter weather. He says someone had asked him why he didn't embark on the journey in June, and he noted that would simply be, quote, "like you're camping." With his "Meet Me Halfway" campaign Wayne is trying to raise awareness for homeless teens and young adults across America.
