FOX Chairman: "No One Has Signed A Deal" As "Idol" Judge

FOX executives are still not ready to make an announcement regarding the judges' panel for the tenth season of "American Idol." Entertainment chairman Peter Rice says, quote, "No one has signed a deal on either side of the camera to be on 'Idol' who wasn't on it last year. There are no signed deals with anybody." The executive also commented on the recent media speculation about the show's judges. Rice says, quote, "I can tell you that much of the information is accurate and some of it is wildly inaccurate." But he declined to confirm or deny which information is solid and which is not. The "American Idol" judges are expected to be announced by mid-September. That's also when contestants will begin auditions before the panel. Auditions are currently taking place across the country, with the latest round taking place Tuesday, August 3rd in East Rutherford, New Jersey at the Izod Center.
