Fake 911 Call Brings Huge Response

(Enfield, CT) -- A bizarre case is being investigated in Connecticut that includes an accusation of a man and woman calling in a phony 911. The call was made on Saturday and claimed there was a person with a gun threatening to harm children. Police say officers swarmed the Enfield house located at the address given by the callers, only to find nothing unusual going on there. Police say the people living at the house were able to lead officers to the suspects after listening to the 911 tapes. Arrested were 20-year-old Jeremy Carter of East Hartford and 18-year-old Dawn Dion of East Windsor on charges of falsely reporting an incident and other offenses.
