Elliott Sadler Okay After NASCAR Crash
(Long Pond, PA) -- Elliott Sadler is okay after a gruesome-looking crash at the Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500 Sunday. On lap 164 of 200 at Ponoco Raceway, Jimmie Johnson's car touched Kurt Busch's care, sending him spinning into the outside wall before stopping on the infield. The accident caused Sadler to also end up on the infield, where he went head-on into a corner formed by connecting barricades. The force of the impact was enough to knock the engine out of Sadler's number-19 Ford.
Sadler was able to get out of the car on his own power, but was in obvious pain. He was taken to the care center and released. It was a rough end to a good weekend for Sadler at Pocono. On Saturday, he won the first Camping World Truck Series event held at the track.
