Dierks Bentley Reflects On His Audience
Dierks Bentley says he's, quote, "never really thought about" any connection between his sex appeal and the number of women who attend his concerts. But the singer also notes he's not offended if the ladies buy his tickets more for his looks, telling Michigan's "Kalamazoo Gazette" he's just happy they come out to the shows. Bentley adds that his fan base isn't exclusively female -- and not exclusively based on his appearance. He notes that when he looks out into the audience, quote, "There's a lot of dudes out there too. Its a lot more fun performing when there are more people in the crowd." The country star is currently on tour. He'll be performing in Davenport, Iowa on Thursday.
Bentley adds that he typically plays to a multi-generational audience. But while at first saying his crowds range in age from "eight to 80" he amends the span, noting, quote, "My daughter is two and she's my biggest fan, so we'll have to revise, two to 80." And soon the age of Bentley's fan base might grow even younger. Another baby is on the way for him and his wife Cassidy. Their new bundle of joy is expected in December.
