Country Stars Up for Inspirational Country Music Awards
Carrie Underwood and Craig Morgan are among the multiple nominees for the upcoming Inspirational Country Music Awards. The country stars are both in the running in three categories heading into the event. They're among the contenders for Mainstream Country Artist, along with Josh Turner, Jeff Bates, and Ricky Skaggs. Meanwhile, Underwood's hit "Temporary Home" and Morgan's "This Ain't Nothing" face off for Mainstream Inspirational Country Song as well as for Video. Chris Young is up for two awards. He has bids for Mainstream Inspirational Country Song and Video for "The Man I Want To Be." Other Song nominees include Lee Brice's "Love Like Crazy" and Jo Dee Messina's "That's God," while Miranda Lambert's "The House That Built Me" and Trace Adkins' "All I Ask For Anymore" are other Video hopefuls.
Skaggs is up for a total of four awards. Along with Mainstream Country Artist he's vying for Musician, Inspirational Bluegrass Artist, and the Legend/Pioneer Award. Joey + Rory, Cherryholmes, and Rhonda Vincent are nominees as well. Joey + Rory are also on board to perform at the event, along with Love And Theft and Nathan Stanley with Dr. Ralph Stanley. The 16th Annual Inspirational Country Music Awards Show are set for the Trinity Music City USA Auditorium in Hendersonville, Tennessee on October 14th.
