Cheerleader Stops Thief At Oklahoma Mall

Police in Oklahoma needed the help of a high school cheerleader to stop a would-be thief last month. KCRA.com is reporting that 16-year-old Kealey Oliver was shopping at the Penn Square Mall when she tackled a man who had just stolen from a store. Oliver was on the phone with her mother when the suspect came running in her direction. She recalls, quote, "I just got in his way and grabbed him and he kept trying to run so I just slammed him on the ground." Mall security was eventually able to catch up and place the man under arrest. Oliver says the entire experience was nerve-racking, adding, quote, "I didn't think. I was shaking. I was like nervous. I didn't know why I did that."
