"Blago" Sells Autographs At Chicago's Comic-Con

Former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich has found a way to profit from his infamy. "The Chicago Sun-Times" reports that the man many refer to simply as "Blago" signed autographs for 50-dollars a pop and posed for pictures at 80-dollars per photo at the Wizard World Chicago Comic Con on Saturday. Blagojevich was touted as a headlining attraction at the Midwestern convention that showcases comic book characters, pop culture, and celebrities. Blagojevich said he enjoyed being a trade show attraction for the day, adding, quote, "It's pretty fun to be out and be able to feel the warmth and the support from the people." The 53-year-old declined to compare himself to a super hero, but did say that he feels a connection with the Bible's David in his fight with Goliath.

Last Tuesday, a jury convicted "Blago" of one count of lying to investigators, but could not reach a verdict on the remaining 23 counts. Prosecutors say they're seeking a retrial. Blagojevich was arrested in December 2008 on multiple charges, including allegations that he tried to sell President Obama's senate seat for personal gain.
