Albuquerque Man Faces Bigamy Charge

(Albuquerque, NM) -- A New Mexico man say accusation of bigamy against him are just a big misunderstanding. Gary Ruiz of Albuquerque was allegedly caught with two wives but told KOB it happened because his second wife never got around to filing divorce papers for him while he was in prison for felony DWI. The 49-year-old was caught in bed with one of his wives and the case made its way to police. Ruis could get 18 months in prison and up to five-thousand dollars in fines if convicted of bigamy.
