Texas Woman Accused Of Being Serial Car Thief
A two-month crime spree could land one Texas woman behind bars for the rest of her life. The "American-Statesman" is reporting that Cynthia Huster-Forrest was arrested last month for allegedly stealing 17 cars. The 29-year-old is accused of taking car keys and driver's licenses out of unsecured gym lockers and then swiping the vehicles from the gym parking lot or the owner's driveway. Huster-Forrest also reportedly stole two vehicles from dealerships after taking a test drive and not returning the car. Huster-Forrest's crime spree took place between March 17th and May 27th. She is currently in the Travis County Jail with bail set at 200-thousand dollars. All 17 vehicles have been returned. Police estimate that the stolen cars are worth more than 200-thousand dollars, making Huster-Forrest's crime a first-degree felony. She faces life in prison if found guilty.
