Swift, Lautner's "Valentine's Day" Kiss Among MTV Movie Award Nominees

Taylor Swift is in the running for another MTV award. The singer is among the nominees for this weekend's MTV Movie Awards for her work in the movie "Valentine's Day." She's nominated in the Best Kiss category alongside co-star Taylor Lautner for their lip-lock in the film. They're up against on-screen smooches by Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning in "The Runaways," Stewart and Robert Pattinson in "New Moon," Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds in "The Proposal," and Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington in "Avatar." The Las Vegas buddy comedy flick "The Hangover" is the top nominee heading into the event with six. Balloting in the fan-voted event remains open through Saturday at MovieAwards.MTV.com. The 2010 MTV Movie Awards will air on MTV on Sunday at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.

If Swift and Lautner take their category the singer will receive her second award from MTV. Last September she became the first country star to win a Moonman when her crossover hit "You Belong With Me" got the nod for Best Female Video at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. Swift's acceptance speech turned into a fiasco when rapper Kanye West interrupted her to tell the crowd he thought the award should have gone to Beyonce's "Single Ladies."
