Danny Gokey Taking Active Role In CMT Awards, CMA Fest

Danny Gokey's been tapped to play a special role at the CMT Music Awards. He's serving as CMT's official Twitter correspondent for the ceremony. He'll be tweeting about the event, starting with the red carpet arrivals and continuing through the show. Fans will be able to read his tweet at twitter.com/FollowCMT and twitter.com/dannygokey. Gokey will follow his CMT Music Awards experience with his CMA Music Festival debut. On Thursday the former "American Idol" finalist will make multiple appearances at the Greased Lightning Fan Fair Hall, splitting his time between the CMA Booth and the CMT Booth meeting fans and giving autographs. He'll also spend a couple of hours at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum store to greet his followers and sign memorabilia. Gokey will make his CMA Music Fest performance debut Thursday night. He'll contribute a set to the Nightly Concert at LP Field, taking the stage after The Oak Ridge Boys launch the show with the national anthem. Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson, Carrie Underwood, and Lady Antebellum will also perform.
