Thieves Steal Gas And Diesel From Southwest Dallas Convenience Store

(Dallas, TX) -- Officials in Texas are trying to figure out how more than three-thousand-dollars worth of gas and diesel fuel was taken by drivers who didn't pay. Car after car pulled up to the pump for several hours on Monday night at a southwest Dallas convenience store and topped off their tanks before driving off without paying. The store owner thinks the thieves had access to a device that de-coded the pump's security system. A witness was able to give a vague description of one car getting a free fill-up but police have few other leads. Police are working with the gas station and its supplier to figure out how thieves were able to compromise the security system.
