Terri Clark Loses Her Mom To Cancer

Terri Clark is mourning the death of her mother. A post on the singer's website notes that Linda Clark lost her lengthy battle with cancer Sunday night, and adds, quote, "She is finally at peace and out of pain, our hearts are broken and we will miss her terribly." CountryWeekly.com says Linda Clark was first diagnosed with the disease in 2007, and some of the career changes Terri made in recent years were because she wanted to return to Canada to be with her mom during her illness. The country star had a close relationship with her mother. She often said the support she received from her mom enabled her to pursue her dream of a country music career in Nashville. Linda Clark also served as the inspiration for many tracks on Terri's latest CD, 2009's "The Long Way Home."
