"Gilligan" Robber Strikes Maine Bank

A bank robber dressed in familiar attire struck a bank in Newport, Maine Wednesday. According to WLBZ2.com, a man wearing a hat similar to the one worn by Gilligan on the TV show "Gilligan's Island" reportedly robbed a TD Bank. Police say the suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money, and was seen fleeing the scene in a red car. The man's "Gilligan" hat was found a short time later behind the bank. Newport police, the Penobscot County Sheriff's Department and Maine State Police are investigating the crime.
