Cops Called On Man Playing Jesus In Church Play

A mix-up of biblical proportions was made at a Minnesota health club last week. KSAX.com is reporting that an employee at Alexandria's Racquetball Plus Fitness Center called the police on March 30th after spotting a bearded man who appeared to be covered in blood using the showers. Police surrounded the club, but eventually learned that the man - named Lee Backhaus - had simply been playing Jesus in a local church play. Backhaus also informed authorities that he had asked the Fitness Center for permission to use their facility following his performance. Police left the scene after learning of the mistake, and will not file charges against Backhaus.
