Details are surfacing about Carrie Underwood's upcoming wedding. The singer recently told CMT Radio Live that while she considers herself to be "a very traditional person," some aspects of her celebration are going to be "a little bit different." In a break from tradition, she and fiance Mike Fisher aren't going to have a wedding cake, but will serve cupcakes at the reception instead. IveyCake in Franklin, Tennessee is getting the order. The wife of the bassist in Underwood's band runs the company, and Carrie said she makes, quote, "the most amazing cupcakes in the universe."People.com says the singer also spoke with reporters this week at an animal shelter in Manhattan, and revealed that her dog, Ace, would be participating in the ceremony as a ring bearer. She said the little rat terrier is "like my kid," and explained, quote, "If I was getting married and I had a child, of course my child would be in the wedding. Ace is such a big part of my life."
Underwood added that her dress is still "in the works." She described her gown as, quote, "really pretty" and "very me," noting, quote, "It's just girly and pretty, and it's simple and glamorous at the same time." But one detail remains a secret -- the wedding date. Underwood and Fisher became engaged in December. They've said they're planning to tie the knot sometime this summer.
