Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild, Jimi Westbrook Have A Boy

Little Big Town is now a little bigger. The group's Karen Fairchild and Jimi Westbrook have become parents with the birth of their first child. People.com says Fairchild delivered a boy Friday in Nashville, and they've named their little bundle of joy Elijah Dylan Westbrook. Upon his arrival he measured 19-and-three-quarter-inches long, and tipped the scales at seven-pounds, 14-ounces. Fairchild says she's very happy to be parents with Westbrook. She notes, quote, "We've been waiting for this for a long time and can't tell you how thrilled and blessed we both feel." They're also confident in each other's parenting skills. Fairchild says Westbrook -- who has a degree in early childhood education -- is a "natural" as a dad, while Westbrook believes Fairchild is going to be "an incredible mom." He jokingly explains, quote, "She has always been so good with children. Besides, she's done a great job raising me to become a responsible adult!"

Fairchild and Westbrook's band mates are also very happy for the couple. Little Big Town's Kimberly Schlapman says she and Phillip Sweet, quote, "have dreamed of this moment with them for a long time. We can't wait to welcome another little angel onto our bus." Both Schlapman and Sweet also have children. Schlapman became a parent first, giving birth to her daughter in July 2007 -- while Little Big Town was on tour. Sweet's daughter arrived six months later.
