Dog Census Introduced For Mutts

Dog owners all over the country can now fill out their census along with their favorite pet canine. Earlier this week, Mars Veterinary announced the country's first-ever National Mutt Census. Mixed dogs account for more than half of the dog population in the U.S., but for the most part, their makeup has gone undocumented. The National Mutt Census will provide insight into the makeup of approximately 38-million dogs in the country. Dr. Angela Hughes of Mars Veterinary remarks, quote, "Understanding an individual dog's breed makeup is like understanding its family history - this information can provide an owner with valuable insights that strengthen the pet-owner relationship."
