Dierks Bentley Working On A Bluegrass CD
Dierks Bentley is remaining true to his word. Last fall he said he wanted to record a bluegrass album, and now he has an update on the project. He calls "Up On The Ridge," quote, "my version of bluegrass music," explaining, quote, "It's not just banjos cranked up to eleven. It throws out a big net." Bentley adds, quote, "I didn't want this to be 'Dierks Bentley and friends' or a 'Dierks does bluegrass' kind of album. I wanted each song to have something special about it, and in the end I think each song really does have its own thing going on." He also has a number of friends who helps out on the disc. Alison Krauss, Miranda Lambert, and the Del McCoury Band are among the stars who contribute to the material. Bentley's "Up On The Ridge" will be released this summer.
