Darius Rucker Getting Country Community Support For Hootie Charity Event

Darius Rucker is combining his country and pop careers with an upcoming charity event. He'll be joining his band to host the Hootie & the Blowfish Monday After The Masters Celebrity Pro-Am Golf Tournament next month. The singer has enlisted some of his country music friends to participate. Jack Ingram, Steve Azar, and Colt Ford are among those slated to help out. Rucker says he's pleased to get their support, noting, quote, "Country music artists and country radio have really embraced me, so it's great to see so many of my new friends joining us in an effort to raise money for the Hootie & The Blowfish Foundation."
The Hootie & the Blowfish Monday After The Masters Celebrity Pro-Am Golf Tournament is set for The Dye Club at Barefoot Resort & Golf in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on April 12th. Money raised will go to the Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation, which supports education for children in South Carolina as well as the South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation.
