Country Stars Sign On For ACM Awards
Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, and Lady Antebellum are among the first confirmed performers for the upcoming Academy of Country Music Awards. The star-packed event will also feature entertainment from Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, and Jason Aldean. Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins, who are in the running for Vocal Event of the Year with their collaborative hit "Hillbilly Bone," will team up on stage. Reba McEntire will do double duty, participating in the ceremony as both a performer and show's host. Brooks & Dunn -- the most rewarded artists in ACM history -- will be making their final ACM Awards appearance. They'll also receive the Academy's Milestone Award in honor of their lengthy and successful career. Chesney and Underwood are also up for awards, while Lady A leads the pack with seven nominations heading into the event. The 45th annual Academy of Country Music Awards will be presented in a ceremony at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and air on CBS on April 18th.
