Brad Paisley says he's not actively pursuing the Academy of Country Music's title of Entertainer of the Year. People.com notes that at his party last week honoring his hits "Welcome to the Future" and "American Saturday Night," the singer-songwriter admitted that he's, quote, "uncomfortable campaigning," and that he won't go out and actively try to solicit support for the fan-voted award. He noted, quote, "Honestly, I don't like that part of it. I understand that people love to get involved and it's cool that they can, but vote for who you want." The others vying for Entertainer of the Year include Kenny Chesney, George Strait, Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Toby Keith, Carrie Underwood, and the Zac Brown Band.Entertainer of the Year is one of four ACM nominations for Paisley. He's also in the running for Album of the Year with "American Saturday Night," Video of the Year with "Welcome to the Future," and Top Male Vocalist of the Year. The 45th annual ACM Awards will be presented in a ceremony in Las Vegas, and air on CBS on April 18th.
