Teen Blows Up Tree In Back Yard

An Oregon teenager will probably reach for an axe the next time he wants to remove a tree from his property. The "Statesman Journal" is reporting that Zachary James Leone was arrested Sunday after he used a bomb to blow up a tree. The West Salem resident reportedly told a neighbor earlier in the day to expect some loud noises as he attempts to take out a tree. Authorities say the bomb would not have hurt anyone unless they were standing right next to the home. Leone was arraigned in Polk County Circuit Court Monday, and faces two counts of unlawful manufacture of a destructive device, two counts of disorderly conduct and unlawful sale/use of fireworks. The bomb squad searched Leone's home on Monday. The 19-year-old could still face additional charges. Read More on this story by clicking here.
