Man Accused Of Stealing Underwear From Open Houses

A Wisconsin man is blaming his ex-wife for a bizarre string of crimes. According to WauwatosaNow.com, Robert Remiker is accused of stealing underwear from open houses in the Milwaukee area. The police were notified when realtors and other visitors to the houses saw the 58-year-old opening drawers and taking underwear. When the authorities confronted Remiker they discovered a plastic bag containing eight pairs of underwear and printouts of Internet listings for open houses. Remiker told police he stole the underwear because he missed his ex-wife. He also admitted to having 50 more pairs of underwear at home. He was charged with three counts of misdemeanor theft and is due back in court Thursday.
