Mother Hits Son With Baseball Bat

A confrontation between a mother and her son could put one Pennsylvania woman behind bars. According to the "Observer-Reporter," Linda Lee Newstrom was arrested last Sunday for hitting her son with a baseball bat. The Charleroi resident reportedly returned home intoxicated and demanded that her 21-year-old child leave. Jeffrey Newstrom claims that his mother came after him with a bat while he attempted to gather his belongings. Linda reportedly swung three times, missing twice and connecting once. The upset mother would later admit to police, quote, "I brought him into this world and I'll take him out." Linda Lee Newstrom has been charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment and disorderly conduct. She posted three-thousand-dollars bond, and is due in court for a preliminary hearing Tuesday.
