Josh Turner says he's thrilled his latest hit, "Why Don't We Just Dance," is staying strong on the chart. The song is marking its third week at the top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, and becomes his first three-week run at number one. Turner admits, quote, "I am on cloud nine right now. You can't get any higher than number one and to stay there for three weeks is just incredible. I am really happy that people love this song." "Why Don't We Just Dance" is the debut single off Turner's latest CD, "Haywire." The album has fared well on the chart as well. Following its February 9th release, it debuted on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart at number two, and entered the all-genre Billboard 200 at number five. Turner says he appreciates the support he's received from fans, noting, quote, "With the way the economy is right now, I'm especially grateful to every person who went out and bought the new record and helped us have such a great first week on the sales charts."Turner will be hitting the road this spring as he continues promoting the album. He's been tapped to open shows for Alan Jackson on Jackson's upcoming "Freight Train Tour." The trek will begin in Fort Myers, Florida on April 8th.
