FOOTBALL STILL DOMINATES SPORTS INTERESTS
With the 2009-2010 football season now over, many sports fans are now eagerly anticipating next fall's NFL activity. In an ESPN.com SportsNation "Football Withdrawal?" poll, 43-percent say they're most looking forward to the upcoming NFL draft. The World Cup has 20-percent of the vote to take second place. The international soccer match just edges out the Winter Olympics, which is favored by 19-percent. Eleven-percent are waiting for golfer Tiger Woods to return to the PGA circuit, and eight-percent are looking forward to this weekend's Daytona 500. In a separate poll specifically about the Olympics, just 22-percent say they're "very interested" in the winter games, which begin in Vancouver, British Columbia on Friday. Nearly half of those polled note they're "somewhat interested," while 31-percent admit they have no interest in the international sporting event.
