Tractor-Trailer Overturns, Spilling Milk Which Freezes
New Hampshire State Police are calling it a first, with thousands of gallons of milk spilled from a tractor-trailer rig immediately freezing on the pavement. The Hood Dairy truck was making deliveries Saturday morning and tipped over on an exit ramp from the Everett Turnpike in Nashua. The milk was in plastic jugs, and one state trooper compared it to ice cream after it froze on the pavement. Not all the milk jugs spilled, and Hood Dairy is hoping to donate the salvaged bottles to local food banks. Investigators say it's possible a curb on the off-ramp punctured a tire, which caused the truck to tip over.
