Sandra Bullock Donates $1 Million To Haiti Relief Efforts

Add actress Sandra Bullock to the growing number of celebrities pitching in to assist relief efforts for earthquake-ravaged Haiti. Bullock has donated one-million-dollars to Doctors Without Borders' emergency operations in Haiti's Port-Au-Prince. In a statement, "The Blind Side" actress said, quote, "I wanted to ensure that my donation would be used immediately to meet the needs of the Haitian people affected by this catastrophic event."

A star-studded telethon will be held this Friday to raise funds for relief efforts. Titled "Hope For Haiti," the telethon will air on major networks starting at 8:00 pm Eastern, 5:00 pm Pacific. Proceeds from the telethon will benefit Oxfam America, Partners in Health, the Red Cross, UNICEF and Wyclef's Yele Haiti Foundation. Networks participating in the telethon include CNN, MTV, VH1, CMT, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, HBO and BET.
