Brooks & Dunn To Receive ACM's Milestone Award

Brooks & Dunn are getting a special salute as they mark their final year as a duo. Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn have been tapped to receive the Academy of Country Music's Milestone Award in recognition of their lengthy and successful career. To pay tribute to the duo the Academy will host a special concert event in their honor, in conjunction with this spring's 45th annual ACM Awards. Reba McEntire, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, and Carrie Underwood are the first confirmed performers for the event, which will be taped at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 19th -- a day after the 45th annual ACM Awards. Tickets for the concert go on sale this Friday. The show, "ACM Presents: Brooks & Dunn - The Last Rodeo," will air on CBS at a later date.

Brooks & Dunn have long been an ACM favorite, and they hold the record for the most ACM Award wins. The duo has captured 26 ACM Awards, and are three-time Entertainer of the Year recipients. Brooks & Dunn have also earned the most awards in the Top Vocal Duo category. They've received the nod a record 15 times, including a commanding eight year run in the category from 2000 through 2007.
