Taylor Swift isn't the only one celebrating a big night with the 43rd annual Country Music Association Awards. ABC, which aired the annual event, is also a winner. The three-hour ceremony gave the network first place in Wednesday night's ratings, with nearly 36-million people watching at least some of the broadcast and just under 17-million tuning in for the entire show. That figure far surpasses second place CBS, who had just over eleven-point-three-million people throughout the night. The CMA Awards attracted an even larger portion of adults under 50, with an audience 68-percent larger than CBS. In addition, ABC won the night among all key demographics, including Adults, Men, Women, Teens, and Kids. The 43rd annual CMA Awards gave ABC its largest Wednesday night audience for a non-sporting event in more than four years, and it was the most-watched CMA Awards ceremony since 2005.
