Chuck Wicks admits that he and Julianne Hough have hit a critical juncture in their relationship. But while word surfaced last week that the country couple has split up, Wicks doesn't appear to be ready just yet to say it's over. Speaking at last week's Country Music Association Awards, he told "Entertainment Tonight," quote, "Julianne and I are going to address what's going on in our personal life together. I think that's the only right way to do it." He added that once they're ready they'll, quote, "make a statement on that." He also noted that there wasn't any animosity between the two of them, and that Hough was his date at the event.Just a day before the CMA Awards, "People" magazine cited an unnamed source who said Wicks and Hough had split up. The source called it a "mutual" decision, saying, quote, "They needed some time apart." Wicks and Hough have been together for just over a year. They met in 2008 when they were both openers on Brad Paisley's summer tour. Over the course of the trek they became an item.
