Trisha Yearwood has a few special performances coming up. ABC News says the singer has been tapped to sing at an event later this week which First Lady Michelle Obama is hosting. The special concert is scheduled to take place Friday at the Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts School, and will feature selections from the country star as well as Yo-Yo Ma, Sara Bareilles, and some of the students. Yearwood is also on board for this year's "Christmas at Belmont" show at Nashville's Belmont University. The "Tennessean" newspaper says Yearwood, who is a Belmont alum, will perform with more than 400 student singers and staff members from the school, as well as members of the Nashville Children's Choir.The holiday concert is set for Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center on December 7th, and will be taped for a PBS special to air later in the month.
