Rock Hall Announces Eligible Nominees For 2010 Inductions

The nominees for the next round of inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have been announced. Among the 12 eligible acts up for consideration are ABBA, Donna Summer, Genesis, rap pioneer LL Cool J, KISS, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Hollies and the Stooges. Ballots will be sent to more than 500 voters who will select five of the 12 nominees to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the 25th Annual Induction Ceremony on March 15th, 2010. The inductees will be announced in January 2010. The induction ceremony will take place at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. Artists must have released their first single or album at least 25 years prior to the year of nominations to be eligible for nomination to the Rock Hall.
