Some good news for Jay Leno. The criticism and harsh reviews of his new NBC primetime show might not be truly representative of how the general public feels about "The Jay Leno Show." A new Empower MediaMarketing survey comparing opinions of viewers with remarks from Twitter and blog sites shows a sharp discrepancy. More than 75-percent of the Tweets and 81-percent of blog and board entries commenting on the show have been negative. But when asked to grade "The Jay Leno Show," 26-percent of those polled gave the program an "A" while 48-percent gave it a "B." Only seven-percent rated it a "D" or "F." Leno's grades are even better among those who used to watch him regularly on "The Tonight Show." Among those viewers 35-percent gave "The Jay Leno Show" an "A" and 48-percent gave the show a "B."However, while viewers are saying they like "The Jay Leno Show," they don't seem to be consistently tuning in. The show, which is wrapping up its second week, has seen its ratings drop significantly since its September 14th premiere.
