Roy E. Disney, Nephew Of Walt Disney Dies

Roy E. Disney, the son of Disney Corporation co-founder Roy O. Disney and nephew of the legendary Walt Disney, has died. Roy was a longtime senior executive with the company, serving on the board of directors and as head of the animation department. "Forbes Magazine" once listed him as one of the wealthiest people in America with a personal fortune worth an estimated one-point-two-billion-dollars. The "Los Angeles Times" reports Clifford Miller, a Disney Company spokesman made the announcement Roy Disney died Wednesday morning following a battle with cancer. He was 79.
