Minnesota Man Steals Pizza Delivery Car On 31st Birthday
A Minnesota man might want to find a new way to celebrate his birthdays. According to the "Pioneer Press," Damien Allen Anderson turned 31 on December 5th, and celebrated by stealing a pizza delivery car. Anderson reportedly swiped the vehicle while the owner was inside paying for gas. The following evening, police spotted the Newport resident driving the vehicle more than 100-miles-per-hour with the headlights off. Anderson refused to pull over for police, and after a high-speed chase, he was finally removed from the car at gunpoint. He was taken to Lakeview Hospital, where he admitted that he had been drinking alcohol and smoking pot and meth. When he was informed that he had left his cell phone in the car, Anderson reportedly told police, quote, "I suppose the guy I stole the car from gets to keep the phone." Anderson has been charged with felony fleeing police in a motor vehicle, felony car theft and gross misdemeanor DWI.
