Lady Antebellum To Sing National Anthem At Two Football Games

Lady Antebellum might want to brush up on their rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner." The trio is slated to perform the U.S. national anthem at two football games in the coming weeks. Lady A will be singing the song this Sunday before the Tennessee Titans take on the St. Louis Rams in Nashville. The group will also perform the anthem at the start of the Sugar Bowl, taking place January 1st in New Orleans. That game will pit the University of Cincinnati against the University of Florida. Both games will air on FOX.

Lady A's Charles Kelley says he's looking forward to taking part in the games, noting, quote, "It wouldn't feel like the holidays without football." He adds, quote, "We love being part of the opening ceremonies of some of these big games because there's so much energy in the stadium. You look out and see the players and fans, and then hear the planes flying over and the fireworks shooting off...I get chills every time...it's a total adrenaline rush!"

In addition, Lady Antebellum will be performing in New Orleans' French Quarter on New Year's Eve. The group has been tapped to headline the "Allstate Fan Fest," which launches the activities surrounding the Sugar Bowl.
