Kenny Chesney Gauges Success Of "Greatest Hits" Discs

Kenny Chesney says that when it comes to best-of collections, ongoing sales is what he considers important. Chesney says he learned that lesson after releasing his first "Greatest Hits" set in 2000. He says, quote, "you don't measure their success in the first year, you measure how long people keep buying it!" Regarding his "Greatest Hits 2" the singer adds his hope that fans are, quote, "gonna keep buying this one for a long, long time 'cause I want this music to remind them of all the great things they've lived with us." Chesney's "Greatest Hits 2" was released back in May. It was recently certified Gold for sales topping the 500-thousand mark.
