Jo Dee Messina Part Of "Christmas In Rockefeller Center"

Jo Dee Messina will help usher in the holiday season in New York City. The country singer is among the stars slated for NBC's "Christmas In Rockefeller Center," airing tonight. She's expected to sing "Sleigh Ride" during the show, which will also feature performances from Rod Stewart, Aretha Franklin, Barry Manilow, and Alicia Keys, as well as Shakira, Rob Thomas, Michael Bublé, The Roots, and The Muppets. "Mercy" stars Taylor Schilling and James Tupper, "30 Rock's" Jane Krakowski, and "Chuck's" Zachary Levi will also take part in the festivities, which will include the lighting of the famed Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. "Christmas In Rockefeller Center" starts at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.

The "Christmas In Rockefeller Center" special is one of three holiday events for Messina this week. On Saturday she'll perform two concerts in Nashville with the Brentwood United Methodist Church youth choir. The shows are supporting the Harvest Hands Community Development Corporation, a Christian-based community outreach organization.
