Funeral Home Offers Free New Year's Eve Burial

A funeral home in Georgia is using a unique approach to encourage safety this holiday season. According to the "Rome News-Tribune," Rome's McGuire, Jennings and Miller Funeral Home is offering people a free burial if they die while driving under the influence. Interested parties have until noon on Thursday to sign up for "Operation Stop and Think." Those taking part must sign a contract stating that they plan to drink or use drugs and drive on New Year's Eve. If that person is killed in a car wreck on the 31st they will be buried for free. The package includes a casket, grave space, limousine and preparation of remains.
