Prominent Attorney Arrested On Third Drunken-Driving Charge

A prominent Milwaukee attorney is under arrest for the third time on drunken-driving charges. Elm Grove police say Michael Steinhafel was driving on a revoked license when he was picked up Thursday while driving his 10- and 12-year-old children to the Elm Grove Library. A Breathalyzer test indicated a blood alcohol content of zero-point-157, almost two times the legal limit. His license was revoked over the summer when he was convicted of OWI for showing up drunk court where he had driven to represent a client disputing a speeding ticket. The former assistant district attorney was first convicted in 1998.
